The Revolutionary way to permanently alter your smile with an Arizona smile makeover without the fear of shots or the removal of sensitive tooth structure.  Ask us how.  We have a portfolio of smiles specially created by Arizona tmj dentist, Dr. Meyer for our discerning clients.

Cosmetics:

As an holistic-biological dental practice, all of our restorations are cosmetic by their nature.  However, there are situations that require purely cosmetic enhancements. For example, a person presents with a mouthful of dentistry that has been done over the years by different dentists, at different times and by different laboratories.  Their teeth reflect that by having a highly varied and at times an unsightly appearance.  In a case like this, by coordinating their condition and modern dentistry a very beautiful and more youthful appearance can readily be attained.  For the most part these procedures are essentially painless and relatively expedient.  Many smiles can be totally made over in a matter of weeks.

The need and circumstance you present with determines the restorative treatment  needed to achieve the desired result.  There are instances too, that require the services of a periodontist for more optimal gingival (gum) positioning.

Another example of a cosmetic need is simple tooth malpositions or mal-formations.  Here porcelain laminates are an ideal treatment for those who don’t want to treat with orthodontics or in conjunction with orthodontics.  In this example a two week time interval passes and our young man went from splotchy to dazzling!

As you can see from these images, a beautiful result can be achieved.  These situations, although completely different, resulted in extremely satisfied customers as their testimonials attest.

Going to the dentist has never been on top of my favorite things to do, that is until I bonded with the Millennium Dental family.  I say family because that is how they make you feel.  The staff is so friendly and the atmosphere is inviting and relaxing, always a good start in my book. Dr. Meyer is one of the most trustworthy and knowledgeable men I have ever met and has helped my entire family and a group of friends that I have referred.  My son needed veneers from discoloation caused by antibotics when he was younger and he now loves his million dollar smile (so do all the girls!)  I had all my mercury fillings removed and replaced with white and it’s a good thing, because in doing so we discovered a tooth that had decay under the filling, which if left unnoticd wuld have caused me to probably loose the tooth later.  I also had some crown work done, which went as smooth as can be.

You’d have to know us to know my son and I can’t sit still very long, but time just floats on by for us in their non threatenting and soothing environment.  I really cannot think of any reason that anyone should go anywhere else for any dental work that they need.  Dr. Meyer treats beyond the clients superficial problems and really probes to discover the root cause ( no pun intended).  He explains everything in such detail, I feel confident in him 100%!

I first saw Dr. Meyer, a holistic biolgical dentist, for a toothache.  He extracted two teeth, one of which had a root canal.  I requested an evaluation of all of my teeth and concluded that I needed to have all the metal (gold crowns, inlays) removed.  I was very ill (recently diagnosed with cancer, scoliosis and myofascial dysfunction).  My energy was low.  I felt it would not improve until all the infecion was removed from my mouth.

Now, 1.5 years later my health has improved.  My teeth are beautful as well as functional.

Finding Dr. Meyer was a revelation to me.  His expertise, patience, good humor and dental perfectionism are admirable.

Bleaching Treatments:

For over 15 years now we have offered Smile Brightening or “Bleaching”.  There are two basic types of bleaching.  Home and Chairside.  The home technique is a slower (about 2 week) process of 4 hours per day.  The ZOOM chairside-in office technique is completed in about an hour.  It does cost more then the home bleach.  This is because of the labor and practice resource intensiveness.

Since neither bleaching technique calls for a change in your diet or lifestyle, your teeth will undoubtedly stain up again (although not to the depth they had been).  The benefit of the home bleaching is that you can perform your own touch-ups.  So if you have an important event (i.e. date, wedding, dance, etc.) you can touch up for a couple of hours prior to the event and really freshen up your smile.

For those in a hurry, you really can’t beat the power bleaching.  Ths is about an hour long, n house process that uses light activated bleaching gel and a special light to activate the gel.  A special coverig is placed on the gums to protect them.  This is then followed with a take home process for future touch ups.

Partial Dentures:

I’m putting this here too because we offer cosmetic hidden attachments.  These retaining devices are a great benefit to you.  Not only don’t you see the attachment but also the attachment itself has great biomechanical advantages to the teeth they are attached to.  By having the nature of a “universal joint”, this attachment has the ability to move about in a multitude of simultaneous directions without placing undue stress to the tooth.  Its only major downside is the added fee to use this.  It is relatively easily serviced in the office.

Another style of partial denture with a hidden attachment is shown here. It is known as the Mays Attachment.

maysattchmentWhat would you rather see, an unsightly clasp arm or a very nice blended appearing prosthesis that is very hard to spot?  This particular attachment allows for great retention and a good deal of freedom to move when under function.  Other types are used on a case by case basis.

Additional types of special cosmetic partial dentures are the Dental D, Acetyl resin based partial, or the Valplast partial made of an injection molded plastic.  Both are more of a conventional design but can be made either tooth colored (Dental D) or gum tissue colored (Dental D and Valplast).

Complete or Full Dentures:

These are for the complete replacement of ones own teeth either in the upper or low jaw.  Our Geneva Dentures  use the finest Swiss made denture teeth for the most natural appearance possible. [The hardest part of the complete denture for the new recipient is the transition period, from final tooth removal to solid healed gums and denture mastery.

Our techniques have been perfected over the years and we are very proud of our complete denture service.  They are:

  1. Accurate impressions of the tissues in the mouth.
  2. Use of the Esthetic Control Base (ECB) for tooth ascertaining proper lip support and tooth positioning.  This is performed with you in the office to keep tight control of the cosmetics.
  3. Precision jaw registration.  Capturing the position in space where you will “bite”
  4. The Wax Try-in.  Here you can then evaluate the size shape, color, arrangement of the teeth and the bite.  If this passes next is the delivery.
  5. The  Delivery appointment is a highlight of my day.  Our efforts are rewarded with a beautiful result.  We take a good deal of time in this appointment to see to it that your posthesis is fitting the gums well and then the teeth are filling well. You are turned loose then to begin your next phase of getting used to the new feel.
  6. The Post Insertion visits are very important.  Here we have the opportunity to help with any issues come up.  Mostly a rub spot or two.  As you gain confidence in the wearing of your prosthesis you will be pressing ever harder on the gum tissue.  Gum tissues aren’t really designed for this task.  As they become more used to having the pressure, sore spots may surface in response to the uneven pressures that result from what we term “settling”.  It is fully anticipated that you will need one or two of thse visits.  Much will depend on your prior history with he use of and the efficiency of the prosthesis.

Using the services of a “non-qualified” technician can get you results like these shown here.

You will be proud of your completed prosthesis and you can have confidence in your most demanding social circumstances. Only you and your dentist will know for sure. As with all manner of prosthetics, mastery of use is up to the recipient.

Our GENEVA DENTURE is the pinnacle of denture cosmetics and function. The teeth are had crafted of the finest porcelain in Switzerland. The rear teeth have a fabulous functioning “cutter bar” design. This will be like a good knife on a cutting board rather then two cutting boards trying to mash a piece of food well enough to get enough saliva into the food allowing you to swallow it.  By relying on exacting standards of tooth design and materials your new appearance will be one of confidence and beauty, no matter what your age. Testimonial:

I first met Dr. Meyer about six years ago (1996) and have respected him for his endeavors in presenting to his patients a very holistic approach to overall health problems created by dental problems. His understanding and his ability to absorb the new science that we in the research area are presenting each and every day is the key to why his dental office is one of the best. When I personally needed prosthodontics in the form of new dentures I chose Dr. Meyer becase of his talents in fitting the bite and closure of these units. For the first time in more than 4 years of wearing dentures I have found a dentist that can assure you of comfortable and effective fit. I really find his efforts outstanding as I can truly say I cannot tell the difference from my own teeth except for the need of a denture adhesive to assure stability when biting thru a sandwich and like.

Thank God for dedicated professionals like Dr. Nick Meyer.
